Jing Jie, Ph.D., is a Professor and Master’s/Doctoral Supervisor in Biomedical Engineering at Hainan University. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from South China Normal University and completed a visiting scholar fellowship at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. Her research focuses on the neural mechanisms and neuromodulation of affective disorders (such as depression, empathy deficits, addiction, and fear), cognitive neuroscience, and brain–computer interfaces (BCI). Recognized as an Outstanding Undergraduate Academic Advisor at Hainan University, she has guided students to multiple national awards, including the National Biomedical Engineering Competition. Her work has been published in journals such as Biomedical Signal Processing and Control, Social Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience, Behaviour Research and Therapy, Advanced Science, and Cortex. In teaching, she offers undergraduate courses in Fundamentals of Neural Engineering and Human Anatomy & Physiology, along with the graduate course Comprehensive Academic English. She serves as a Committee Member of the Occupational Mental Health Promotion Committee, Chinese Association for Mental Health; a Committee Member of the Brain-Computer Interface and Rehabilitation Medicine Committee, Hainan Medical Association; and a Committee Member of the Guangdong Digital Intelligence and Psychological Safety Professional Committee.
