 Biography

Dr. Tianyi Qin obtained his Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry from TIPC, CAS (2012-2017). Prior to joining HNU in 2023, Dr Qin worked as a post doc researcher at Shenzhen University (2017-2019) and South China Agricultural University (2020-2022), successively. He has been certificated as a Class-D talent of Hainan Province, a Class-D talent of Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City, and He received the first batch of Hainan Provincial Excellent Young Scientist Fund.

Dr. Qin’s research group is interested in performing extensive research on the development of new fluorescent probes and unveiling their structure-property relation in applications. The group’s objective is to achieve on-demand tuning the binding sites, sensing modes, and sensing properties in albumin-dye host-guest sensing systems. With this emphasis, his group approaches technological advancements from a variety of disciplines, covering fields of smart molecule, protein-ligand simulation, ratiometric probe design, POCT devices, and imaging applications.

Dr. Qin has published more than 40 articles (h-index: 22, citations 1600+) in renowned journals, such as Chemical Engineering Journal, ACS Sensors, Sensors and Actuators: B-Chemical, and Food Chemistry.
